IT Solutions Technician / Technical Support - Apprenticeship

Job Title: IT Solutions Technician Apprentice / Technical Support Administrator

Location: Newbury

Salary: £12,000

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Role:

This role will involve answering calls from customers who have a technical query, asking appropriate questions to gather information regarding their issues, recording this detail onto the CRM platform, and allocating this ticket to a member of the technical team to action.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysing the tickets and queries then creating and running reports
  • Maintaining a database of technical queries
  • Creating technical diagrams (training will be provided)
  • Providing general administration support to the team as required
  • Ability to clearly and confidently communicate face to face, over the telephone or in writing
  • Show excellent customer service skills to include: building rapport and trust, conflict management, influencing and reinforcement techniques.

You will be provided with full training on the use of all company systems relating to this role.

In addition to the above, they will support you in achieving your IT Solutions Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.

IT Support Engineer - 2nd/3rd Line position - Newbury or Manchester Office

Salary Range £25,000 – £35,000 per annum

Netteam have Offices in Newbury, Manchester and a team of field engineers working out of London and you could become part of this dynamic team, supporting a range of high-end Hotels and Corporate clients.

Role Overview:

They are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join the technical team in Eccles, Manchester or Newbury, Berkshire. They need a knowledgeable, skilled and experienced Engineer for this internal role, who has the experience of working on a busy and buzzing technical helpdesk.

This opportunity is perfect for the person looking to gain more experience and training in their 1st/2nd Line role or to prove themselves as dedicated 3rd Line Engineer, within a fast growing, yet established technology focused MSP.

Experience:

  • A proven history of being able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across a client base which specialises in Small Business and/or Hospitality via remote connectivity, telephone or email
  • Using PSA/RMM tools such as Autotask, AEM and IT Glue to provide enhanced support services to all clients
  • Experience in remote diagnostics along with analysis and monitoring
  • Possesses good verbal and typed communication skills
  • Great Customer Service abilities
  • Be used to working unsupervised, independently and as part of a team
  • Thrive on understanding and being aware of new and current technologies
  • IT related degree or relevant qualifications highly desirable
  • Proven technical ability across the common product suites
  • The willingness to learn new software and hardware skill.

Technical Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud solutions including Office 365 and Azure
  • Proven experience with Desktop & Server solutions across the Microsoft stack
  • Any understanding of Telecommunications and Network platforms will be of benefit
  • Overall appreciation of client system security, requirements and proven experience with relevant software and hardware solutions
  • Overview ISP solutions and connectivity requirements
  • WiFi solution experience & knowledge, with Ruckus, Meraki, Aruba etc
  • Experience of hospitality products such as PMS and POS systems and associated interfaces is beneficial
  • Candidates with Microsoft Certifications would prove advantageous.

  • Proficiently use the CRM platform to record all contract, purchase and sales activities against allocated clients
  • Work alongside the project teams to ensure all solution sales are correctly delivered
  • Maintaining an up to date understanding of market trends as well as competitor activities and potential new revenue streams.

The Candidate:

  • Must be commercially aware and proactive with a proven background in Technology Account Management and/or Technology Sales within an MSP environment
  • Excellent organisations skills are essential
  • Strategic thinker who can spot, convert, and close opportunities
  • An effective communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • A resourceful team player who is comfortable with both seeking and providing assistance to their peers when needed

Essential Skills:

  • Experience of delivering customer service at exceptional levels
  • Key Account/Account Management experience
  • Familiar with the use of CRM systems in a sales environment
  • Be open to product training and understanding new technology solutions

Desirable:
